The California was designed by Pininfarina and features a two-piece power folding hard top which stowed underneath its rear deck lid. Design touches include stacked quad-exit exhaust tips with brake lamps in smoked housings mounted just above. This car also featured a few significant firsts for Ferrari – the first front engine Ferrari with a V8, first to feature a 7-spped dual clutch transmission, first to feature direct port injection, among others. At the time of its creation, the California was Ferrari’s most aerodynamic road car ever made with a drag coefficient of 0.32, which stood until the introduction of the F12 Berlinetta.
