The Porsche Cayman GT4 was introduced for the 2016 model year, it’s a refined, yet hard-edged precision instrument that marries the height of Porsche technology with analog driving pleasure in the tidiest package available. The GT4 shares many chassis components with the larger 991 generation 911 GT3, is exclusively offered with a manual transmission and easily earns its racing pedigree while undercutting its larger GT stablemates in size and price. The Cayman GT4’s unique array of mechanical attributes will soon be elsewhere irreplicable in a modern production car, which will likely make it a collectible auction special in the coming years. This immaculate 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 has just 4,920 miles and is replete with purposeful, professionally installed racing upgrades backed with documentation. The car was sold new at Porsche of Monterey and the current owner purchased the car new at delivery from the person who placed the original order. So on paper there have been two owners because of that dealer policy, but there is truly only one.
On to the upgrades.
Power:
Dundon GT4 Club Sport Race Headers and a Cobb Accessport Dundon Pro Tune increase output to 439hp from the stock 385hp.
Safety:
This GT4 is outfitted with a Cantrell Motorsports GT4 Rollbar, Schroth Porsche LWB 4-Point Harness and a custom matching paint CWM.
Suspension:
Adjustable Elephant Racing front caster bushings (#2180011), rear lower control arms (#2180020), rear drop links (#2271013) and Tarrett Engineering front monoball camber plates (#991FSMT-R) accommodate a wider range of custom track alignments. A DSC Sport PASM controller allows for further customization of suspension parameters. The car has a custom track alignment from SpeedSport in Danbury, CT.
Braking:
The brakes have been upgraded to GiroDisc 380mm rotors and Pagid RS29/Yellow pads front and rear with 90% remaining life. The brake fluid was flushed in February 2020 with SRF Racing brake fluid.
Exterior:
Paint protection film is installed on the front and rear bumpers, hood, fenders, exterior sills, mirrors and the wing, and a very recent paint correction with ceramic coating was performed at Touch of Glass Detail in Bedford, NY on July 20, 2020. The car also has AWE A-pillar wind buffers and side air vent grilles.
General:
Other modifications include a Braille Lithium battery/bracket/tender which saves 35 lbs, pre-wiring for a Valentine I and LWB EdGuard seat bolster covers.
This GT4 has been serviced exclusively at Porsche dealers and SST Auto in Danbury, CT. All work has been documented.
